New Orleans deserves a world-class transit system. What could that look like?

The first step: the Blue Line.

NEW ORLEANS NEEDS THE BLUE LINE.

The Blue Line would connect the New Orleans CBD with Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) in around 30 minutes with 16 stops along the way in some of the region’s key job centers.

Using driverless electric trains running on modern elevated tracks, trains would arrive every 4 minutes all day. Trains would come less frequently after midnight, but they would still be running 24 hours a day.

BY THE NUMBERS

32,500

people live within a half mile of Blue Line stations.

6,000

approximate number of tourists traveling between MSY and the CBD everyday.

58,000

jobs within a half mile of Blue Line stations.

THE BLUE LINE IS A NO-BRAINER.
